Director
Dr. Jody M. Miller has spent more than two decades working in special education. Her first professional experience was as a Physical Education teacher for students with Autism, intellectual differences, and physical disabilities. This experience was tremendously rewarding and set the foundation for Dr. Miller to continue working with students who need additional or specialized support. Since her time as a teacher, Dr. Miller has spent time leading non-public and residential treatment/boarding schools in both Tennessee and California, as a principal, assistant director, and director. Dr. Miller, who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), has also enjoyed time in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) working with 2-16-year-olds with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Dr. Miller holds master’s (MEd) and doctorate (EdD) degrees in education, from Middle Tennessee State University and Trevecca Nazarene University respectively. Dr. Miller moved to St. Croix in July 2023 to embark on the tremendous opportunity to lead Coral Reef Academy.
